![]() I'm actually amazed at just how long that 1:1 conversation rate has lasted (they really have no good reason to be so generous this many years in). Finally, head to the Xbox Live Gold upgrade page, and pay the fee to upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate. Then, redeem those codes, one by one, up to a maximum of 36 months. If it's any significant period more than a year, I would not recommend the strategy you're quoting, for the reasons I just gave. To save on your Game Pass Ultimate subscription, the first thing you’re going to do is stock up on Xbox Live Gold codes. I guess the critical question is how many more months (or years) does a person have before their current subscription runs out. I totally understand what you're saying, but it does mean having to run the clock out for a few years.and for me, I wouldn't be willing to bank on that 1:1 conversation rate still existing down the line. That would mean that in two years, you'll have no cheap way to buy three more years, and need to find a cheap price again. Let's say they do, and you have two years left. ![]() Yes, but you're assuming they don't also close that loophole in the near future (and I think they will). I did the Costco 3 years (180$) + 1 month key (~10$) and came out to just over 5$ per month. If you don't currnetly have Gamepass (or close to the end), the Gold conversion is still cheaper even without the 1$ trial.
